We have the privilege of working and living in an area abundant in clean air, pristine forests, and fresh water. This is something we can't take for granted. We recognize our environmental impact across the world, from the countries our ingredients are grown, to the cities our customers live in, starts with us.
Loose leaf tea is a fantastic product for our environment. Naturally bio-degradable, our teas are delicious to enjoy – and perfect for compost. Additionally, nearly all of our teas are USDA certified organic. Not only is this great for you, but great for our soils and water supplies across the globe.
We're Carbon Neutral
We've partnered with Greenspark to achieve our net-zero goal. Greenspark supports projects around the world including re-forestation, plastic removal, and CO2 improvement programs. For every order placed, we offset 5kg of CO2!
Other Areas Of Focus
Better Packaging
Compared to bagged tea, loose leaf tea uses significantly less packaging. Bagged tea requires as many bags as there are "servings" for its package. While we do sell tea bags for your loose leaf tea, we highly recommend our infusers. Some people also enjoy brewing their loose leaf tea in a french press.
We've recently switched to recycled and more sustainable packaging materials. All of our plastics and cardboard can be recycled according to your local recycling center requirements!
Biodegradable Bags
Many loose leaf tea sellers use biodegradable tea bags for their teas, and we're no exception (one of the many reasons we love the loose leaf tea community)! Our teabags aren't just biodegradable; they're also free of plastic! If you don't have an infuser or prefer to use tea bags, have peace of mind knowing they're good for the environment!
Efficient Warehousing
Our warehouse and office spaces are lit with fluorescent lights, saving 400% more energy as compared to incandescent light bulbs. We also use an efficient climate control system to maintain temperatures of our products and office space. All orders from the same address are combined into one delivery, and we work to ensure little to no waste of products or materials.
