5 Health Benefits of Peppermint Tea

5 Health Benefits of Peppermint Tea

Peppermint (Mentha × Piperita) is a cross between spearmint and watermint.

Peppermint is known for its soothing, delicious flavor. Having been used as a tea for centuries, it’s extremely popular and healthy! Peppermint is packed with antioxidants and vitamins. It also contains an oil called menthol, which gives this herb its sweet, refreshing flavor.

Here are five health-based facts about peppermint and what makes this herb so great in tea!

1) Peppermint is a Bacteria Killer

Scientists found that peppermint was great at killing E. Coli, Staph, Salmonella, and Listeria thanks to menthol, the peppermint plant’s oil. (1, 2)

Peppermint’s strong antibacterial and antiviral properties are why we choose this tea in our Organic Immunity Tea.

2) Peppermint Improves Focus & Clarity
