What is Sarsaparilla Root ?
Sarsaparilla root is the dried root of a woody, spiky vine that grows in tropical rainforest canopies. This herb was historically used by indigenous people for its wellness benefits. Later, it became a part of European medicine. In the mid 19th century, sarsaparilla made its way into popular soft drinks which positioned the herb as more than a natural remedy.
