Carly Pearl-Sacks

Welcome back to Tea of the Week!

This week, to celebrate women everywhere with Mother's Day coming up, we wanted to feature one of our ultimate women's teas; Organic Menopause Relief

This blend is earthy and slightly sweet from the organic licorice root.

Let's go over the 5 ingredients that go into this tea!

Ingredient Breakdown

Organic Black Cohosh: Black cohosh has many names including black bugbane, black snakeroot, or fairy candle. This plant is native to North America and is known to relieve symptoms related to reductions or imbalances in the hormone estrogen. A 2010 study concluded menopausal women experienced a 26 percent reduction in night sweats and hot flashes when using black cohosh supplements.

Organic Vitex: Vitex is a sub-tropical flowering plant also known as the chaste tree. Vitex is known to help re-establish a normal balance of estrogen and progesterone. Additionally, vitex can help relieve painful and tender breasts.

Organic Licorice Root: Licorice root is a naturally sweet ingredient that adds a light sweet flavor to this blend. Licorice root has been a long time home remedy for painful cramps and relieving menopausal symptoms like hot flashes.

Organic Sage: Many people have used sage in cooking but it also has some wonderful medicinal benefits. Along with being loaded with antioxidants, sage has a soothing flavor and aroma. Sage is also known to help with hot flashes and pain related to menopause.

Organic Red Clover: Red clover is an herbaceous species of flowering plant in the bean family. Red clover is used in this blend for its ability to improve blood flow and reduce hot flashes and night sweats.
