Non-Organic vs. Organic
Full Leaf Tea Co. takes pride in its commitment to providing customers with the highest quality organic tea from around the world. Our dedication to quality begins with our rigorous certification process. We are proud to be organic certified, which means that all of our teas meet strict organic standards set by reputable certification agencies. This certification guarantees that our teas are grown without the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or genetically modified organisms (GMOs). It also ensures that the farming methods employed are sustainable and environmentally friendly. Because no pesticides are used during the growing process, bugs can sometimes make their way into the plants prior to harvesting, but it's very rare.
While we do offer some teas that do not have an organic certification level, the absence of an "organic" label doesn't necessarily imply the use of pesticides. It's important to note that all our teas, whether organic or not, undergo the same comprehensive third-party testing for toxins and contaminants. However, it's worth mentioning that we can't provide a guarantee that non-organic teas were not treated with pesticides.
Where Our Ingredients Come From
We source our ingredients from all over the world depending on where they are best grown. This allows us to offer the highest quality of ingredients for our customers, making sure each cup of tea is blended to perfection. Each of our blends are hand-curated and tasted by our blending specialists to ensure they reach the best flavor possible.
We package our loose leaf tea in PVA plastic bags that are biodegradable and resealable to keep the loose leaf tea fresh!

Are We Having Our Teas 3rd Party Tested?
In addition to our organic certification, we go the extra mile to ensure the safety of our tea ingredients. We understand that sourcing tea from countries outside of the United States can raise concerns about potential toxins or contaminants.
That's why we take a proactive approach by conducting third-party testing on all of our tea ingredients before they even enter our facility. These tests are conducted by independent laboratories with expertise in food safety and quality control. They screen for a wide range of potential contaminants, including heavy metals, pesticides, and harmful microorganisms.
By subjecting our teas to such rigorous testing, we take pride in every cup of Full Leaf Tea and ensure it is not only delicious but also safe for you and your loved ones to enjoy. Trust in the quality and purity of our teas, and explore the world of flavors that await you in every sip.
If you have any other questions about us, or where our teas come from, please reach out to support@fullleaftc.com! We would love to hear from you!

February 26, 2025Great question. We source our Organic Holy Basil from India. For this specific herb, the third party tester tests for arsenic, cadmium, lead, and mercury. Feel free to reach out to our support email and we would be happy to provide the COA for this herb. (:

January 21, 2025Great question! Heavy metal testing is not standard for most teas and the availability of those reports depends on the third party testing company, the country of origin, and the type of herb or ingredient. (:

March 25, 2025Heavy metal testing is not standard for most teas and the availability of those reports depends on the third party testing company, the country of origin, and the type of herb or ingredient. We do have COA's available for each of our ingredients upon request. In addition to this, all of our teas are 3rd party tested for any contaminates, or harmful chemicals before entering our facility. Also, since our teas are organic, this means that they are certified GMO and pesticide free :)
