Take yourself on a tropical vacation with this sweet and refreshing combo! This drink can easily be made ahead and the recipe is easy to double or triple for a party.
Ingredients
-
3 teaspoons Full Leaf Tea Company Organic China Green Tea
-
1/2 medium-sized pineapple or 1 cup of pineapple juice
-
(optional) 2 tablespoons honey
-
Ice
-
(optional) 1/2 lime and a few slices of pineapple for garnish
Directions
Steep the green tea with 16oz of hot water and set in the fridge to cool for 30 minutes or the freezer for 10-15 minutes.
While the tea is cooling, slice your pineapple into small chunks and blend until smooth.
Strain pineapple juice to get rid of any pulp or hard bits. Put the strained juice into the fridge to keep cold.
Fill two glasses half full with ice and split the pineapple juice between the two of them.
Pour the cooled green tea over the pineapple juice. Stir, taste, and add honey or other sweetener if desired.
Skewer a slice of pineapple and a slice of lime and place on top of the glass for garnish. Enjoy!
Recipe Note
This could easily be made into an alcoholic party favorite by adding a shot of gin or vodka into each glass.
