These decadent cookies are packed with dark chocolate and delicious, roasted lavender.
Ingredients
-
3/4 cup salted butter (softened)
-
1/2 cup brown sugar
-
1 egg
-
1 teaspoon Full Leaf Tea Co. Organic Herbal Earl
-
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
-
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-
1 teaspoon cornstarch
-
1 cup AP flour
-
3/4 cup chocolate chunks (dark or semi-sweet)
Directions
Beat the softened butter and brown sugar together until smooth and fluffy.
Add the egg and beat until smooth.
Add the tea leaves, corn starch, and baking powder and beat one more time until well combined.
Add the flour and mix together using a spatula until fully combined.
Mix in the chocolate chunks and form into a log wrapped in foil, parchment paper, or plastic wrap.
Put in the freezer for 1 hour or fridge for 3 hours. This dough can be refrigerated for up to 2 days if making ahead of time.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Get the cookie dough log out and cut into 1/2 inch thick round. You can roll them in your hands a bit to make them more circular if needed.
Bake in preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown and slightly cracked.
Enjoy warm out of the oven or cooled down!
