Tea is lovely - customer service not so much

I orders some samples of tea and a gift card. The order requested that I put my email address in for the gift card. I did. My tea arrived, but no physical gift card and no gift card in my email. I sent an email and used their chat customer service to enquire about it. I was told that they needed the recipient email - (why was that not clearly obvious on the order form?). I gave it to them both by email and chat. Still no gift card either in my email or my giftee. I tried chat again - but "not available until after 12", I posted my request anyway, checking in at 12 - no reply. I sent another request via chat and asked "speak to a real human" and please call me and gave my phone number. Over an hour later I got a response requesting the giftee email again and suggesting that the giftee check her spam folder. The giftee is a customer of Full Leaf so her email should be easy to connect with. Two more days and no gift card. I talked to chat again actually chatting with a person finally and I received a refund for my gift card. Today (as Saturday) their chat says "not available until Monday". I realize it is a small company, but without clear information on how to order a gift card including whether it will be a physical card or an ecard they are going to continue to have this problem. And a customer service system that is only available occasionally with no possibility of actually talking to a customer service rep is doomed to ruin customer good will. I will not purchase from they again.

Very thoughtful

I was very pleased with my purchase ~ customer service was amazing and very thoughtful when I indicated my reason for making the purchase. Most definitely will be making future purchases, especially ordering teas for myself.

my purchase was a gift for a very dear friend, and she was very taken aback by such a thoughtful gift (of course I had other items included with the tea, a special spoon, and cozy blanket)
