What is Skullcap ?

Skullcap (Scutellaria lateriflora) is part of the mint family. Despite this, skullcap does not have a minty flavor. However, this herb is often used for its calming benefits on the nervous system and sleep support. This herb gets its name Skullcap from the flowers it produces because they resemble little medieval helmets.
