The tea has a light

The tea has a light smoky flavor. It is not as full bodied as say lapsang souchong nor does it brew as darkly colored. It's a good everyday tea, but I was looking for a stronger taste.

I have yet to find a green tea that I like, and I have tried a lot of them! I like a stronger more flavorful tea, I drink black tea, Oolong, Puer ect. That is until now, this stuff is wonderful! Much more flavor than most green tea. Of the 32 loose leaf teas I have this is one of my favorites! I will definitely keep this one in stock!

Houjicha Review

I personally loved it. I found a great latte recipe online to make with this specific tea, but since it uses heavy cream which ideally I would like to avoid, I would love to know of other recipes with this tea since not many good ones exist on the Internet. It's a shame, because the tea is really good. If you guys could provide great milk-based latte recipes for Houjicha tea, that would be awesome.
