Tea of the Week - Organic Chaga Mushroom Tea 🍄🍃

Carly Pearl-Sacks

Hey fellow tea lovers!

We have debuted a series called "Tea of the Week" to highlight one of our teas each week to talk in depth about its ingredients and make a fun recipe with the chosen tea.

This week, we are featuring one of our most unique teas; Organic Chaga Mushroom Tea! This tea is a blend of four ingredients that each plays a special role.

Ingredient Breakdown

Organic Chaga Mushrooms: Chaga mushrooms have been used for centuries in teas and supplements. They are native to the northeastern hemisphere and can be seen growing on birch trees in the USA, Canada, Russia, and Europe. Chaga mushrooms are full of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. Additionally, they have very little flavor when used in a tea and don't give this tea any sort of "mushroomy" flavor!

Organic Rooibos: Rooibos is a caffeine-free South African herb with six times as many antioxidants as green tea! It also contains high levels of polyphenols which are associated with lowering inflammation and preventing diseases.

Organic Cacao Nibs: Cacao nibs are small pieces of crushed cacao beans that have a slightly chocolatey flavor. They are an incredible source of antioxidants along with increasing mood and stimulating the mind.

Organic Cinnamon: Most people are familiar with cinnamon but did you know it is an excellent source of anti-inflammatories and antioxidants? Cinnamon has also been shown to have anti-bacterial properties which make it the perfect infection/disease fighting spice!

Recipe

Our Organic Chaga Mushroom Tea has an herbal and spiced flavor which made it the perfect tea to make a Brown Sugar Tea Latte with! This tea latte tasted very similar to a chai tea latte but with so many more benefits!
