How much caffeine is in turmeric tea?

Turmeric is a spice and does not contain any caffeine. The caffeine content of Turmeric Tea will, therefore, depend on the other ingredients in the tea. When paired with a black tea, Turmeric Tea contains up to 90 milligrams of caffeine in an eight-ounce cup. Turmeric mixed with green tea will contain slightly less caffeine, around 70 milligrams per eight-ounce cup.

The caffeine in white tea is slightly less. A turmeric white tea will contain around 55 milligrams of caffeine. As previously mentioned, Yerba Mate contains around 40 milligrams of caffeine. So Full Leaf Tea Co.’s Organic Turmeric Ginger Mate has quite a high caffeine content.

How do you make turmeric tea?

Our loose leaf Turmeric Teas are simple to make. If you have a drawstring tea bag, such as our Natural Paper Drawstring Tea Bags, you can fill it with one teaspoon of your favorite Turmeric Tea, steep the tea in eight ounces of hot water for 5-7 minutes, and it’s ready to drink. Be sure to consider the base of your Turmeric Tea when steeping. If it is an herbal tea, you can steep it longer than if it is a black tea, which grows bitter if steeped for too long.
