Ingredients
-
5 teaspoons Full Leaf Tea Company Organic Northwest Sunset tea
-
1 small watermelon (approx. 4-5 cups of juice)
-
1-2 limes
-
Ice
-
(optional) 1/2 cup tequila
-
(optional) Sea salt for glass rims
Directions
Steep the loose leaf tea with 8 oz of hot water and set in the fridge for 30 minutes to an hour or the freezer for 10-20 minutes.
While the tea is cooling down, cut your watermelon into small chunks and set aside.
Once the tea is cooled, add the watermelon and tea to a blender. You may need to do two batches depending on the size of your blender. Blend until smooth.
Add your blended watermelon and tea to a large pitcher over ice. Add the tequila if using and the juice of 1 lime.
Taste your margarita mixture and add additional lime if desired.
Serve in salt-rimmed glasses if desired with a lime wedge.
Recipe Note
If making this recipe for a party, I would recommend making the tea ahead of time and keeping it in the fridge until you are ready to make these margaritas.
