This recipe includes how to make a delicious spiced pumpkin syrup and how to use it in a latte! The perfect taste and smells of fall that guarantee your kitchen will smell amazing.
1/2 cup pureed canned pumpkin
1/2 - 1 cup water
1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup Full Leaf Tea Company Organic Masala Chai
1 - 2 tablespoons pumpkin spiced syrup
1 tablespoon Full Leaf Tea Company Organic Masala Chai
1 cup milk (vegan or dairy)
1 tablespoon caramel sauce (optional)
Add the canned pumpkin, water, pumpkin pie spice, and brown sugar to a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Whisk until well combined.
Add the masala chai leaves and stir to combine.
Simmer for 5-10 minutes, adding water as needed to keep a thick but syrupy consistency.
Strain into a resealable bottle or mason jar and refridgerate until use.
Brew the masala chai according to directions.
Put your desired amount of pumpkin spiced syrup in the bottom of a large tea cup.
Add the brewed tea to fill the cup approximately 3/4 of the way full. Stir to combine.
Heat and froth milk (if desired) and pour over the tea.
Top with cinnamon and/or caramel sauce and enjoy!
