History of Green Rooibos

Green rooibos is a less oxidized version of the popular South African herbal tea, rooibos. Green rooibos is made from the same plant as traditional rooibos, but the leaves are harvested earlier and then quickly dried to prevent oxidation. This results in a milder taste with grassy, vegetal notes. Green rooibos has only been produced commercially for a few decades, but it has quickly gained popularity as a healthful beverage due to its high antioxidant content and lack of caffeine.

Green Rooibos Caffeine Content

Organic green rooibos tea is naturally caffeine-free, making it a suitable choice for individuals who are sensitive to caffeine or prefer to avoid it. Unlike traditional teas, which contain caffeine, green rooibos tea is derived from the leaves of the rooibos plant that are minimally oxidized, resulting in a caffeine-free beverage. This allows individuals to enjoy the refreshing and healthful qualities of green rooibos tea without the stimulating effects of caffeine. Whether enjoyed in the morning or evening, organic green rooibos tea provides a caffeine-free option that can be savored throughout the day.

What does Green Rooibos Tea Taste like?

Organic green rooibos tea offers a delicate and refreshing flavor profile that is distinct from traditional red rooibos tea. With each sip, you'll experience a light and slightly sweet taste with herbal undertones. The flavor of organic green rooibos tea can be described as smooth, clean, and grassy, with a subtle vegetal note. It lacks the strong earthy and nutty flavors often associated with red rooibos, providing a milder and more nuanced taste experience. Whether enjoyed hot or iced, the flavor of organic green rooibos tea provides a refreshing and invigorating sensation that can be savored throughout the day.
