I am a huge fan of licorice tea; I've tried licorice tea from dozens of tea companies over the years - Full Leaf's Organic Licorice Root is the best I've ever had! I cannot get enough of this tea. It is not overpowering at all and as it cools, it mellows out into the most lovely flavor! Please don't ever discontinue this tea!!

I have found my new all time favorite tea and I will never look back! Already went through 2 bulk bags and am now repurchasing another.
Don't let the name licorice lead you to believing it'll have a bitter black licorice flavor. This tea is naturally very sweet and not at all spicy or bitter. I enjoy it warm, but on days where life gets busy and my cup gets cold, I don't mind because it's just as wonderful cold.

Great question! Our licorice root is not DGL, but from our research, the amount of licorice in our teas is minimal to ensure you are consuming safe quantities. To add to that, consuming the liquid steeped from the licorice root is different from consuming the whole root so it shouldn't have as much as an effect. If you have any concerns, we recommend talking to your doctor and seeing what works best for you.
