Feeling a little sluggish after a night out? Sometimes you need a quick fix for getting back to your productive self. Here are five tips to recover from a night of a little too much fun.
#1 Prepare and prevent
If you know you are going to be drinking, think ahead about what you can do to prevent a hangover the next day. Remember to eat a good meal and drink lots of water while you are drinking alcohol. Pace yourself, try to make sure you are taking a break in between drinks this will help you to not overdo it and avoid hangovers in the process. Try to get a decent night sleep, if you get a solid night sleep you are much more likely to wake up feeling refreshed rather than groggy.
#2 Eat a good breakfast
Post drinking, refueling is an absolute necessity to help you recover. Try to replenish your body by eating a nutritious meal. Try to eat a breakfast with a lot of fruits, veggies, and protein that will give you a healthy start to your day. During breakfast skip the hair of the dog, as that will just delay the inevitable, and try to drink tea instead. A nice cup of Organic Detox Tea will add even more antioxidants and healing properties to your brekkie.
#3 HYDRATE!!
We cannot stress this one enough! Alcohol is a diuretic meaning it dehydrates you (that is what’s causing those awful headaches). Make sure to drink lots of water the night of and the next morning to keep yourself hydrated, happy, and productive. Also, try herbal tea like Organic Vita Me Herbal Tea that will keep you hydrated because it doesn’t contain caffeine which is also a diuretic. Remember, hydration never takes a vacation.
#4 Do a little bit of exercise
We know all you want to do is lie in bed until you feel better but, getting up and getting active is a great way to power through. You don’t have to do an intense workout routine, unless you’re up for it, but some light exercise might be just what you need to feel a lot better. Do a little bit of yoga to stretch and detox. Or, head outside for a walk breathing in the fresh air. Don’t forget your sunglasses and your Full Leaf Vacuum Flask filled with your favorite tea!
#5 Drink Tea
Drinking tea is just what you need to get through a tough morning. It will help rehydrate and keep your stomach settled. Tea also provides plenty of antioxidants and other essential vitamins and minerals to have you feeling better in no time. Try our Healthy Tea System - Tipsy Detox to help you get through the day after drinking. Start your morning with a cup of our Organic Hangover Relief Tea a green tea blend that will help give you a boost of caffeine and includes ginger to help settle your stomach. That evening, end your night with a cup of the Organic Liver Cleanse to help reduce bloating and will help you wind down and bounce back.
Remember to always drink responsibly!
