Frequently Asked Questions

To make matcha, start by adding 1/2 teaspoon (or more to taste) of matcha powder into a matcha bowl. Then, add about 3-4 ounces of hot water (just under boiling), and whisk vigorously in a zigzag motion until the tea is frothy and evenly dispersed. Enjoy the matcha by itself, over ice, or with milk for a latte!

The primary difference between Organic Premium Matcha and Ceremonial Matcha lies in their flavor profiles and cultivation practices. Organic Premium Matcha, certified organic, offers a more earthy taste, ideal for daily drinking and culinary uses, whereas Ceremonial Matcha, not certified organic, is the highest grade available, prized for its smooth, delicate flavor, making it perfect for traditional tea ceremonies.

Matcha is loved for its high concentration of antioxidants, particularly catechins, which can benefit overall health, reduces the risk of chronic diseases, and boosts the immune system. It also provides a unique combination of caffeine and L-theanine, which can enhance alertness and focus without the jitteriness of other caffeinated products.

Matcha is a finely ground powder made from green tea leaves, traditionally used in Japanese tea ceremonies. Its unique cultivation involves shading the tea plants before harvest to boost chlorophyll levels and enhance its vibrant green color and rich, umami flavor. Matcha is packed with health benefits and can be enjoyed many ways!

High Quality

So far, I have placed three separate orders buying a variety of different blends. I have been highly satisfied with the flavor of each one.

Excellent Matcha

I'm on my 3rd bag. I've tried matcha from other companies, but I keep going back to Full Leaf Tea Co. Matcha. Perhaps the others just weren't as fresh as the flavor was not as bright. I don't drink a lot of caffeine, but I enjoy a matcha latte iced before paddling in summer and hot before skiing in winter. It is a great way to start a day of activity and exercise.
